A vocational training centre for under-privileged women and youth was started at the Narendra Nele premises. It was inaugurated by Mr Ramesh Halbari, Deputy Director of Women and Child Welfare Department. The Chief Guest for the function was Mr Rajanna, retired General Manager, Bosch)

A Shishu Mandira, a day-care centre cum school was started in the Asha Kirana Nele premises on the 11th of December. The centre would provide education, essential instructions in health and hygiene and conduct cultural programs for the children.

The Samskutha Sambhashana shibiram organized at Vyasa Maharishi’s Vidhyapeetam ended on 30th April 2010. The Shibiram was helpful in providing the Shibhirarthi’s in building their confidence.
