Hariharapura’s Sri Swayam Prakasha Sachidananda saraswathi Swamiji was the chief guest for the day.Peolpe from 13 villages gathered which added upto 850 devotees

The Samskutha Sambhashana shibiram organized at Vyasa Maharishi’s Vidhyapeetam ended on 30^th April 2010. The Shibiram was helpful in providing the Shibhirarthi’s in building their confidence. The selfishness turned to unselfishness behavior and besides the caste and creed everybody participated with full enthusiasm and oneness which in turn helped the Shibhirarthis build their personality.

Sri Krishna Murthyji of Hindu Seva Prathisthna was the guest invited for Deepa Pujanam held at Yelehanka. This Deepa Pujanam was organized by Belaku School which helps increasing the Seva interests amongst the Mathe’s and Students from Balagokula, Mathrumandali, Yogasana and Tuition centers.

Seva Shikshana Shibhira was inagurated at Amrutha Vidhyanilaya,Davanagere on 01.05.2010 to teach the seva principles.A total of 60 men and women participated in the Shibhira. Sri C. R Virupakshappa, Trustee of Chennagiri Virupakshappa Dharmashala inaugurated the Shibiram.

It was on 14.11.09, Saturday the birthday was celebrated in group. The program was initiated with Ganahoma around 8 in the morning and the other programs went on till 5.30 in the evening. Sri Krishnamurthy, Sanchalak, HSP in his speech said “we elder play a major role in making future of these kids and he appreciated the crowd for the participation.

Then children had drawing, singing, quiz, and essay competitions. There were about 200 participants. Nele family members, Sri. Udayashankar, editor of Prajavani News paper, H.R. Nagraj, Haridasa Sangha and others were present in the program.

This is what Nele kids has to say about the program:

“When I was with my family I didn’t had any of these celebrations in fact I was not aware of any of these celebrations. After coming here and after attending programs and workshops my lifestyle is changed. I miss my parents but I try to compensate that with my friends. My aim is to help the kids like me and make their future bright. Manikanta 10th std.

In general people celebrate their birthday individually but here we celebrate together on the same day. It gives us a thought oneness and we all get the blessing of the so many mothers. I learnt good habits here. We are provided with good facilities and they take care very well. In future even I want to build a Nele and give shelter to kids like me. Suresh 8th std.

By lighting the lamps Sri Sirdhar Sagar and Sri Amarnath, Hubli inaugurated the program. In the first half of the celebration individual and group games were played. Then Mr. Guruprasad Medigeshi educated the children about the health issues. Then children had a drawing competition topic being environmental pollution and our school. After that children had quiz and memory tests, then was story time by Ms. Mrudula. Then it was time for lunch. Mr. Praveen Kumar and family and Ms. Lavnya had auspices the lunch.

In the second half, children had singing competition. Later kids presented a drama on Sri Krishnadevaraya.

Sri Sridhar Sagar in his speech inspired the children to participate in games by giving examples of physically challenged children’s participation in international level.

Then winners of the competitions were given prizes. Total participation was 97.

Few of the kids shared their opinion about the program:

“Am feeling very happy. I participated in all the competitions, I won no prize but am not sad. Am happy that my friends won the prizes. Even next year I will participate in the program.” —— suvarna, 6th Std

“I have won 2 prizes. Enjoyed the whole in playing and got information about health issues.” Mamtha 7th std

I enjoyed the games. Just want to play more games. I will surely participate next year as well. Madhu, 5th Std

“I came here, played and won prizes. It is making me feel very happy. I will share my experiences in my school too and will inform them about the Makkala Mantapa”. Dhakshayani, 7th std.

A workshop on “how to face competitive examinations” was organized. Ms.Ramya:Purushotham, President JCs inaugurated the workshop. The workshop was under the guidance of Mr. Purushotham Munglemane.

Mr. Shivaram Pujari conducted the workshop. He said ” due to lack of education and facilities people of Dhakshina Karnataka are not able to compete in such exams. He also informed that exams like I.A.S and K.A.S are not at all costly, even a poor can afford to take up the exam but the thing needed is desire and zeal to achieve.

Ms. Swomya navigated the whole program. Nandhan gave the welcome speech and Vasanth ended the program by giving vote of thanks. Members of ABVP such as Prashanth, Anil, and Rakesh Shetty were present in the program.

Thrust had organized “sponsor a child” program and 6 children got the benefit. 142 children were given books on the occasion.

The trust has undertaken the construction of their build with a budget of 1.31 Crores. The work is under progress.

Fruits and milk were distributed to the patients of Bharath Cancer Hospital. Books were distributed to the backward community children and as a symbol of harmony and integrity Deepa Pujans were done. Dhakshina Karnataka Sangachalak Sri. Venkataramu, Director of Parishath Sri. Sridhar Sagar and Honorary member Sri. O. Shyam were present in the programme. They briefed about the significance of service and life of Sri. Ajith Kumar. There were a good number of participants. The program was under the joint auspices of Bharath Vikas Parishath.
