A number of organizations and institutions focus their efforts to build people. They toil to produce engineers, doctors, lawyers, financial advisors, artists, etc. They concentrate on every factor, every facility and every force that can help the learners excel in their domain of expertise. While the world has aggressively adapted to certain segments of human skill building and life value enrichment, this aggression has left behind a large number of people who could not participate in the growth story. A nation sees real growth when all its stakeholders are a part of the journey. Several organizations are now working to get board all those who missed the previous opportunity so that they can be a part of further developments. When we speak of such unusual people-building organizations, Hindu Seva Prathisthana (HSP) is one of the prime names that emerge. HSP aims to bring about a transformation in the society where people and communities are self-reliant.
I started my career joining Hindu Seva Pratishthana in the year 1988. I joined there as Sevavrathi to render my best services to people.
My journey as Sevavrathi was recognized and I was placed in Seva in Action rendering my services to Handicapped children. My services continued till 1992. In the year 1992 I got married but still due to my family support I continued my work at Seva in Action till 1995.
With the support and well wishers in the year 2001 I started my work in my own NGO named it as Navachethana Trust in which I meant giving new life to children who are special to god. My colleagues were all liked minded people who joined hands with me and we started this special school with 5 children . Navachethana Trust is located in BSK 2nd stage and today in the year 2016 we able to render our services to 78 children who are mentally challenged.
These children lea everyday new things in our school. We mainly focus on changing them and guide them to lead there life independently in society.
We at Navachethana have 7 skilled teachers who are trained in diploma in special education who handle these children along with 3 other non teaching staff who support in raising funds to run the organization. Since these children are special need extra care so our care takers also play a major role in Navachethana School.
This year has been favourable to us and we opened another branch in Sommanhalli near Art of living. Main purpose to start this centre is for residential children. At present we have 20 children with 4 take caretakers.
We care take extreme care of children. Children are very talented they are taught Dance, prevocational training is also given.
